The Anchorage is a charming detached period family house, constructed of natural Cotswold stone under a tiled roof, which we believe was originally built in the 1700’s, possibly as two cottages, which have subsequently been combined and extended. It is not Listed but it is in a conservation area and an area of outstanding natural beauty. The accommodation, which is arranged over 2 floors, extends to just under 2150 square feet in total and being unusual in its configuration, offers great flexibility to its usage. For example, on the ground floor, in addition to the kitchen, boot room and cloakroom/wet room, there are 6 further rooms which could provide a variety of reception areas, home office/studio space or provide extra bedroom accommodation. Another unusual feature of the property are the deep bay windows appearing in the sitting room and principal bedroom above, which have elaborately been added at some stage in dressed stone. There is a useful outbuilding close to the rear of the property which provides storage for logs and the oil tank and a separate garden store/workshop with light and power connected.
